MD of Foothills - Major Haul Policy Road Use Agreements & Road Inspections

Effective May11th, 2016 the M.D. of Foothills will require carriers to obtain a Single Trip Permit and a Road Use Agreement (RUA) through Roadata Services for all projects that have 6 or more loads moving to a single location within a 24 Hour period. The M.D. will now require a pre and post move roadway inspection on these moves. The inspection fee will be $250 per inspection ($250 pre and $250 post).


Effective May 11th, 2016 the M.D. of Foothills will require a pre and post move roadway inspection for all Drilling Rig moves. The inspection fee will be $250 per inspection ($250 pre and $250 post).

Leduc County - Roadway Inspection Fees

Effective February 1st, 2016 Leduc County will require a pre and post inspection on all moves that require a RUA. Typically this is for all Drilling Rig Moves and Multiple Legal Loads that have 5 or more loads moving into the same location within a 24 Hour period. The inspection fee will be $300.00 per inspection (Pre and Post combined). An additional inspection may be required if deemed necessary by Leduc County and this inspection fee will be $200.00 per inspection.

New RDS Partner - Sunchild First Nation

Roadata Services Ltd. is pleased to announce that as of October 1st, 2015 the Sunchild First Nation will become a RDS Municipal Partner. Vehicles with a registered weight of 5000 KGS or greater using Sunchild First Nation roadways are required to obtain an Access Permit, even if they are just cutting through the First Nation. Overweight equipment will also require an overweight permit specifically issued for Sunchild First Nation. Permit applications must be applied for online through the Roadata website at www.roadata.com or by contacting our office at 1-844-624-4373.

Starland County - Major Haul Policy & Road Use Agreement

Effective July 1st, 2015 Starland County will require a Road Use Agreement (RUA) be in place for all Drilling Rig moves with a 48 Hour Notification period. The RUA must be in place before any approvals to move via permit will be issued. Roadata Services Ltd. will facilitate completion of the RUA.

Lac La Biche County - Conklin Trail

Effective February 6th, 2015 the erection of any signage on the Old Conklin Trail (RDS 790136) must be approved by Lac La Biche County. Any signs erected without our Municipal Approval will be promptly removed. Repeat offences could lead to disciplinary action including denial of permits. R.M. of Chesterfield - Primary Weight Annual

R.M. of Oakdale - Tow Permit

The RM of Oakdale now requires all units being towed off location or on a Municipal roadway to obtain a Tow Permit before any movement occurs. The permit must be issued to the vehicle that is being towed and will be charged a $25.00 Permit Fee as well as a $250.00 Post Inspection Fee. The Tow Permit can be obtained by calling Roadata Services at 888-730-3745.

Lamont County

Drilling Rig Inspections

As of March 8, 2014, Lamont County will require a pre and post move roadway inspection for all Drilling Rig Moves. The inspection fee will be $150 per inspection ($150 pre and $150 post). 48 hours advance notification will be required for the movement of all Drilling Rigs.

Roadata to Partner with 3 Saskatchewan RM's

Roadata (RDS) is pleased to announce a partnership with the RM of Winslow, Oakdale and Prairiedale. These RM's are located North of the RM of Kindersley.

RDS will officially start providing service for overweight permits as of September 3, 2013.



County of Newell - Blanket Annual Road Use Agreements

The County of Newell will require all Companies with any facilities operating in the County to sign a Blanket Annual Road Use Agreement (RUA). The RUA must be in place before any approvals to move via permit will be issued. Roadata Services Ltd will facilitate completion of the RUA. Companies may sign and submit RUA's as of Septemeber 1st, 2013. As of October 1st, 2013 an RUA will be required in order to obtain authorization to move within the County.

Please Note - The County of Newell plans to move to site specific RUA's in January 2014.

At 10:00 a.m. Friday February 10, 2012 Winter Weights for Overloads and Period 4 for service rigs will come into effect on roads North of and including Township 18.

CPO is currently accepting applications for Winter Weights for Overloads and Period Four for service rigs between the cooler hours of 10:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. the next day on roads North of and including Twp. 22 to Twp 28 until 12:01 a.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2012.



Spring Weight Change

Due to significant thawing and warmer forecast temperatures, Spring Period Weights for Overloads and Period One for service rigs will come into effect on roads South of, but not including Township 28 at 12:01 A.M. Thursday February 2, 2012. (A return to the Fall Period and Period Four for service rigs is expected with colder temperatures.)

Wheatland County - Service Rig Inspection Fees

On February 1st, 2012 Wheatland County will be implementing Post Inspection fees ($225) on all Service Rig Moves occuring in the County. A Pre Move Inspection can be arrainged at the request of the Service Rig Contractor.

RED WILLOW BRIDGE

Bridge Closed

EFFECTIVE DECEMBER 27 TO DECEMBER 31 2011 THE RED WILLOW BRIDGE SOUTH WEST OF BEAVERLODGE ON SECONDARY HIGHWAY 722 WILL BE CLOSED TO ALL TRAFFIC.

This closure will affect all traffic and will require a detour which will include the use the Rio Grande Bridge covered bridge – PLEASE NOTE – The Rio Grande Bridge has 4.4m height 5.8m width as well as weight restrictions PLAN ACCORDINGLY.

Effective 12:01 a.m. Friday Dec. 16, 2011, winter weights for overloads will be allowed on roads from the British Columbia Boundary north of and including Township 89 east to and including Range 10 west of the 5th Meridian then south to Township 71 east to the Saskatchewan boundary.

Effective 6:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2011 a TOTAL FIRE BAN in the County of Paintearth. A Total Fire Ban means that there are to be no fires what so ever and smoking is limited to shacks, doghouses etc. and vehicles.

For Drilling sites and especially pipeliners there must be fire fighting equipment on site such as full water trucks with spraying eqipment; fire extinguishers by thenselves are not sufficient.
